This wedding was a fun one to capture with the beautiful cultural ceremony preceding it. The bride and groom participated in a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony to exchange rings, vows, and pay respect to their families and ancestors. The ceremony enabled them to extend gratitude toward family for their love, sacrifice, and support that helped shape the bride and groom into the couple they have become. For the Tea Ceremony, the bride, Kathleen, wore an elegant red, sheer-sleeved lace dress. She looked absolutely stunning! The ceremony was a special multi-generational celebration.

After the Tea Ceremony, Kathleen slipped into her white-laced dress and met Dustin under the flowing branches of the Willow trees near the edge of the pond for an intimate, love-filled first look. The wedding took place at the Langdon Farms Golf Club in Oregon. We always love photographing at Langdon Farms because the landscaping is flawless, with pink and purple flowers to add pops of color to the photos. The farm is filled with a variety of trees, and the couple took a few idyllic photos under the flowing branches of the large century trees near the edge of the pond. Although the wedding was formal, the outdoor seating, rustic barn, and reclaimed wood accents cultivated a more laid back feel. The bridesmaids wore different dresses, but they all matched the colors in the floral arrangements with soft, natural tones. The flower girls looked adorable with matching lace dresses and wreaths crowning their hair.

The Proposal

We were on a family vacation in Maui and one night, Dustin asked if I wanted to see how far we could make it down the island. As the sun disappear into the ocean, we stopped to take a break and watch it set. Before heading back to the house, Dustin got on one knee and asked me to marry him! Everything else was a blur – but we went back to the house to share the exciting news with our family!

Favorite Memory From Our Wedding Day

Our wedding day is my favorite memory! But if I had to pick one moment, it would be getting married to my best friend and celebrating with our closest friends and family.

Any Advice for Couples Planning a Wedding?

Soak it all in and don’t stress out about the little things. We had so much fun planning our wedding together, from venue searches, cake tasting to tux shopping!
