Cambry and Sean’s wedding at The Oregon Golf Club was incredible. We knew they were a fun couple, but we did not expect to witness “Club Leahy”. We have to say, Sean, you have some amazing dance moves! They surprised their guests with the coolest lighting (provided by Event Team Entertainment DJs), confetti guns, glow sticks and a custom-made sign that lit up just for their wedding dance party. And it was important to them that they had some beautiful sunset photos. We headed out onto the golf course with videographers, Marc and Rev with Moving Pictures, to take photos with Mt. Hood in the background. We lucked out with some beautiful lighting that day. A huge thank you to Shauna and her team with J29 Events. The day was perfect! Congratulations! The Proposal
I took a Friday off from work to prepare for the proposal that evening. I bought a large, beautiful bouquet of flowers and put them in a very special vase (that relates to Cambry’s late mother). When Cambry got home from work, I met her at the door with our new puppy, Burley. She walked in and saw the flowers, and started to think something might be happening. As she walked in, she saw two envelopes on the table next to the flowers, one that said “To Mom, Love Ella” and the other said “To Mom, Love Burley.” Each envelope had paw prints stamped on them. She opened the card from Burley first and inside it read “Dad has an early Christmas present for you in your stocking”.

At that moment, Cambry began to register what was happening and I could tell she knew something big was coming. As she began to walk towards the stocking, I turned on a special song from a concert we went to on one of our first dates: “Skinny Love” by Birdy. She reached into her stocking and pulled out a ring box. At that moment I took it from her hand and got down on one knee. I nearly dropped the ring I was nervously shaking so much. My voice cracked as I could barely get out the words “Will you marry me?” She couldn’t get many words out either, and nodded her head while trying to get out the word “Yes!” We both cried tears of joy and held each other.  Afterward, I had her open the card from Ella that said “I really hope you said yes, Mom!” I had a bottle of champagne chilling and we toasted to beginning this wonderful adventure together!

Wedding Day
The best part of the wedding day was seeing all of our closest friends and family in one place was the coolest most surreal feeling! We also loved Club Leahy and getting to have a dance party! We really enjoyed the moments out on the Oregon Golf course for sunset photos. It was nice to share some moments just the two of us before going back to the celebration.

Advice for Engaged Couples
Planning a wedding is going to be stressful. Don’t overthink it, and try not to stress the details (although it is so incredibly hard not to!) and remember why you’re doing it all in the first place! We also highly recommend going on the honeymoon the following day, it was the best thing to be able to continue the happiness we felt from the wedding day for another week in paradise!
