Classic Oregon Golf Club Wedding | Lizzy and Jermaine

“I decided to ask Lizzy to marry me on our seven-year anniversary. I surprised her with a carefully curated art gallery in downtown Portland. Seven art pieces filled the left wall, which represented important aspects of our relationship. Six framed photos of us throughout the years decorated the right wall. There was a seventh frame at the end that was purposely left empty. She asked me why it was empty, and I told her that I was saving it for this moment… I walked her to the middle of the art gallery and asked her to be my forever.” –Jermaine (Groom)

I always tell couples to make sure that the wedding truly represents who you are, both as individuals and as a couple. With the amazing help of Natalia with Bridal Bliss, Lizzy and Jermaine had fun incorporating beautiful details that reflect themselves throughout the ceremony and reception. When Wedding Day arrived, it was stunning!

Toast to Tolentino!

So, for this masterpiece of a wedding, the groom wore white…..shoes! Jermaine is a footwear enthusiast. He decided on the simple and fresh route with a white pair of “Off-White x Air Jordan I’s.” His groomsmen received custom black Air Force Ones as a gift. The tongue tags displayed their wedding hashtag “#ToastToTolentino.” Gold lace dubraes on the groomsmen’s shoes represented Jermaine’s gold ring and the green text on the heels represented the abundance of greenery in their wedding theme. The shoe theme even continued into the evening’s reception when Jermaine decided to toss one of his shoes instead of Lizzie’s missing garter!

The ceremony was held outdoors at the Oregon Golf Club with a Portland tree line in the background.  Afterward, everyone headed inside to a white-linen draped hall for the reception. Touches of greenery (by Bella Bloom Floral Design) adorned the chandeliers and tables. For an elegant but comfortable touch, they added sofas (from Something Borrowed) by the dance floor. Then, Lizzy and Jermaine celebrated by dancing the night away with their closest friends and family! Congrats, and best wishes, you two!!

From the Bride and Groom:

Favorite Wedding Day Memory:

There was so much anticipation and excitement that led up to our first look, and this moment was extremely special to us. We were at a loss for words as we laid eyes upon one another. We were able to really soak in this intimate experience together. Another favorite memory was towards the end of the night. The reception concluded with “Forever” by Chris Brown playing as the last song of the evening. Everyone was on the dance floor around us jumping, singing, and having the best time. Not a single person wanted the party to end!

Advice For Engaged Couples:

Enjoy every single moment of the planning process together. The day is all about you! Have fun and do what makes the both of you happy. There may be some stressful times along the journey, but the actual day will definitely be worth it!

What a gorgeous Classic Oregon Golf Club Wedding this was! We have nothing but the best wishes and happiest congratulations for Lizzy and Jermaine!
