Rockabilly Twist Wedding Inspiration

The inspiration for “Rockabilly Twist” came from a tablescape Jackie of Cloud Nine Events & Accessories designed for a Portland bridal show. The goal was to create a colorful 1950’s take on the Rockabilly style. One of the things teenagers did to rebel back in the day was hold secret dances in the woods or sometimes even in a barn (think John Water’s classic film “Cry Baby”). For our shoot, we did just that! Tina’s Barn in Newberg, Oregon served as the backdrop for this collaboration. We incorporated a striking turquoise, red and white color palette, vintage juke box, classic vinyl records, cherries, Coca Cola, a 1955 Pontiac Cheiftan and of course James Dean.

Thank you to all the professionals that contributed to this shoot.
