Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast

We were all very excited to have Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast host this snowy wedding inspiration shoot out in Hood River, Oregon. This is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the state of Oregon with an incredible view of Mt. Hood. We had a cloudy day for our shoot, so unfortunately, the mountain did not make an appearance. Even without the view of the mountain, this venue is simply breathtaking. They have modern accommodations for overnight guests and wedding parties, and they are a working farm with goats, horses, and llamas. As wedding photographers, we just love shooting here. Everywhere you look is perfect for photos.

Wedding Inspiration

This shoot’s original inspiration came from Games of Thrones, but turned into a more modern version tying in the rustic and regal feel of the times. The color focus was metallic and jewel tones, along with fur, leather, embroidery, and wood textures to create a natural feel for the shoot. There were some pretty incredible talent working on this shoot. Bramble Floral Design created floral arrangements suspended in ice; perfect for a snowy wedding or elopement. Craig, with Watertown Films created a beautiful highlight video of the shoot which can be viewed below. The cake and table design were simply gorgeous. We just loved all the added extras from Power of Love Rental and Letters & Dusts. So pretty!!!

About the Models: Demi began riding at the age of two, when she jumped on the back of the family dog. Her mom saw how much joy this brought her and decided to take Demi to a horse show at the local county fair. This was the moment where Demi fell in love. She reached her arms out wide to one of the horses and cried “I want one!” Since then, horses have been a huge part of Demi’s life. She’s shown competitively around the country, competing at the most prestigious horse show in the world for Saddleseat riders, The World’s Championship Horse Show. She has also trained, professionally groomed, and rehabilitated dozens of horses in her hometown, Pleasant Hill, Oregon. Today, Demi and her husband Travis own two retired Champion horses, and one young up-and-coming show horse.
