As Portland Wedding Photographers, we are always on the lookout for beautiful locations to photograph engaged couples. Jenkins Estates was the perfect location for Kathleen and Dustin’s engagement photos. It is seriously one of the most beautiful gardens in Oregon, and not that well known. We usually do not see too many people there, but it is such worth the visit. And because of all the rain we had this year, everything is blooming way more than we have ever seen. So pretty, and perfect for an engagement session. Kathleen and Dustin will be getting married this summer at Langdon Farms. We are beyond excited to be photographing their wedding and traditional Vietnamese ceremony.

And here is a little bit more about Kathleen and Dustin:
How did you meet?
We met through mutual friends the summer before our last year at the University of Oregon. Throughout the summer and into the school year, we started to hang out more frequently – now we’re inseparable! We are both excited to get married and start the next chapter in our lives together as husband and wife!
How did he propose?
We were on a family vacation in Maui and one night, Dustin asked if I wanted to see how far we could make it down the island. On our walk, we stopped to take a break and watch the sun set. As the the sun started to disappear into the ocean, Dustin got on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was in complete shock – I couldn’t believe it (but SO excited)! We quickly went back to the house to share the news with our friends and families.
How did you pick your venue?
We checked out a lot of places! Langdon Farms was the last venue we looked at, and we both immediately knew it was exactly what we wanted (when it feels right, you just know!). It has the outdoor aspect that we wanted for our ceremony and the reception/barn that is open but also feel intimate.
What are you most excited about for your wedding?
Getting married! It’s not often we’re able to gather all our closest friends and families together, so we are so excited we get to share this moment in our lives and celebrate with everyone!
Will there be any unique featured, decor, activities at your wedding?
We’ll be having the Tea Mind Body ceremony in the morning with our immediate families where I’ll be wearing a traditional Vietnamese dress. It’s really important to me to continue and honor my family traditions – and hope to continue to do so with our children!
