We met Ashley and Ricky almost a year before their wedding date. We were so excited to plan their engagement session and of course, it completely rained! But they were determined to endure the rain and get some great photos so we decided not to reschedule and just go for it. View their engagement photos here. So it was only fitting that it rained on their wedding day for at least a good couple hours. And it rained hard! Run for cover hard! Thank goodness it didn’t start until after their ceremony. And thank goodness Ashley decided to go with the tent for her reception. It was a bit challenging shooting their couple photos in the pouring rain. I can’t believe they were willing to run out into the rain for some photos. When we were ready, they threw the umbrellas out of frame for just a few seconds to get some quick shots. Ashley and I both agree that because it rained on their engagement session day and wedding day that they will have more than plenty of good luck throughout their marriage!
Despite some rain, and being in 80+ degree weather in Hawaii, Ashley and Ricky’s wedding was simply beautiful. Ashley did all her own floral pieces. They were stunning! I LOVED her floral headpiece and bouquet. And who did her hair and make-up? Well, Ashley loved her hair and make-up so much at her engagement session (her trial run) that she felt bringing Lindsey from Powder Inc. would be the best option for her. We always are blown away by their work, and Lindsey did an amazing job.
Congratulations on your marriage!
